Top photograph ( with pencil note 'No 3') is No. 18 Old Orchard Street with the doorcase of No. 19 on the right, showing the condition of the ground floor storey from pavement level up to string course before restoration.The text panel states ' Since 1971 the owners and the Council have carried out restoration of the facades and rehabilitation of the interiors, wiht the provision of a communal rear garden. It is also proposed to re-lay the granite setts and permanent paving of the street. This scheme is the first in the City to deal wiht an entire group of buildings as a complete project.' B/W
