A small crowd waits to enter Parade Gardens; a single-deck bus waits to a Grand Parade stop. The edge of the circular grassed island is seen on the right. Cars are parked at 90 degrees to the pavement in front of the Empire Hotel, the glass canopy of which is just visible on the left. B/W
