Description: A photograph showing a view of the east side of Northgate Street from the corner of St Michael's Without opposite. To the left of the photograph, the shops at the beginning of Walcot Street have been demolished.Nos 7-9 Northgate Street, the Foyles Furnishing Co. building, is empty and being demolished to make room for the later Podium development. No 11 Northgate Street is empty. 12 Northgate Street, G. Milsom & Son, music shop (now Joules) is to the right foreground of the photograph. Several cars are stopped at a traffic light outside No. 11 Northgate Street. B/W
