A photograph showing a view looking north from Northgate Street towards Walcot Street with St Michael's Without on the left of the photograph. In the foreground is a busy traffic scene with many vintage cars from the 1930s. To the right of the photograph (east side of the road) are the facades of the shops that were later demolished to make way for The Podium development: R-L:in the foreground: 7-9 Northgate Streetis Horton Bros, house furnishers; 2 Walcot Street, Rich and Cooling, seed merchants;4 Walcot Street, Allen Jas. and Sons, furniture dealers; 6 Walcot Street, Eastmen Ltd, butchers ; 8 Walcot Street, Geo. Whiting, cutlers. In the distance are the terraces above Walcot Street. Reverse: Blue biro note 'Northgate Street 1930s?' and at bottom ' Neg. Bath Reference Library.' B/W
