Description
Photograph of the Laura Fountain (with an ornate fountain column erected in 1877, destroyed in 1977) in the foreground with Great Pulteney Street receding northeastwards down to the Holburne Museum (Sydney Hotel). Mature birch trees on each side of the street on the kerbline. There are two cars parked on the right hand side of the street. Two people are seen walking on the right hand side of the street, just right of the central column of the fountain. Number 76 Great Pulteney Street has a roofed stone balcony at first floor level. On the left, Pulteney Hotel ( now Connaught Mansion) s has an ornate cast iron and glass canopy. B&W
