Description
Photograph shows a panoramic view of the Lower Bristol Road from the opposite bank of the River Avon at Broad Quay from the Old Bridge on the left hand side to a temporary bridge on the right hand side. Parked cars in the foreground.In the middle ground is the railway embankment and railway bridge and Wells Road leading under, futher right are railway arches under containing various businesses: J.Clifford and Sons, scrap metal merchants,D. Davis, Removals; Weston Relining Services, car spare parts; Archway Light Engineering Company. in the distance to the left is St Mark's Church. Above the embankment are various buildings including the Royal Sailor Inn - all no longer in existence, demolished to make way for the A36 gyratory road system.
