Description
A view of the south side of the W. and T. Avery Ltd. Scalemakers premises, fronting onto Kingston Road. The two-storey section on the left has been stripped of its internal finish revealing brick construction. The rear single storey part similarly had originally an abutting building - since demolished and former wall and roof junctions (of Johnsons Central Newsagency Ltd.) are evident.On the top right is the multi-storey and mansarded Lewis House, recently complete. The vacant site to the south is now a car park and an Austin A40 and Triumph Spitfire are seen in the foreground. Reverse: Notes in black biro ' Averys Kingston Road, July 72' B&W
