Description
View of the west front of Abbey Chambers taken from a first floor window. To the left is the south transept and tower of Bath Abbey bathed in sunshine. The general fenestration reflects Georgian taste in the design of the sash windows. Two of the ground floor windows are of bowed design, whilst the remaining large window to the right of the front entrance door is of an 8 over 6 glazing bar format. The paved area of the churchyard is in deep shadow. At this time, the building appears to be underused (it was at one time the Planning Office with the Tourist Information Office on the ground floor). Cars are parked along the York Street kerbline include Vauxhall, Austin 1100, Jaguar and Cortina Mark 2 Estate. B&W
