View of the west front and the south end return to York Street of Abbey Chambers taken from the corner of York Street and Abbey Green. To the left is the south transept of Bath Abbey. At this time, the building appears to be underused (it was at one time the Planning Office with the Tourist Information Office on the ground floor). Many visitors enjoy sittting and strolling in the sun. Cars are parked along the York Street kerbline include a Cortina Mark 1 Estate, an Austin 1100, a Sunbeam Alpine and a Triumph Spitfire. On the reverse a note in blue biro: "182/16", and notes in pencil: "May 1966", "Item 11 (i)", "from City Planning Office Bath" and a sketch which appears to be sketches of buildings with estimated heights.
