Description: A view looking east along the north side of Kingsmead Streetand part of Kingsmead Square as it approaches the junction with Monmouth Street,Westgate Street and Westgate Buildings. Shops noted include a takeaway sandwich shop in Kingsmead Street and in Kingsmead Square at No 17, 'Remnants Unlimited' and at No 19 on the corner is H. Patten, engraver and watchmaker. Above 'Remnants Unlimited' is a sign announcing the presence of the local radio station: 'BBC Bath Studio 194 MW - 95.5 VHF.' Across the corner at No 20 Westgate Steet is the shop of John Collier, tailor. On the right a group of telephone boxes stand in front of a lamppost carrying a number of local interest signs.
