Description
A photograph of the south façade of Cleveland House, bridging the canal (John Pinch the Elder, 1817-20), three storeys with round-headed windows at ground floor level, the tall first floor windows are six-over-six and the second floor windows compressed. Five bays wide but the exposed cast iron rainwater and waste pipework detracts. The bridge structure allows for the towpath to cross over. A cast/wrought iron footbridge can be seen in the distance through the canal tunnel. Two female pedestrians pass each other on the near towpath. On the reverse a note in biro: "Kennett [sic] Houseand Avon Canal Bath" and a red star sticker in the top left hand corner. B&W
