A photograph of the top level of the Kennet & Avon Canal, looking north from the side of the Malt House on Sydney Buildings. In the distance is the canal bridge carrying Bathwick Hill towards the University. At this time the Malt House, formerly owned by Hugh Baird & Sons, Maltsters, is standing derelict and the unkempt nature of the canal bank confirms this. B&W
