Description: A view from the footbridge over the canal from Sydney Buildings to the west bank of the canal looking due south towards Abbey View and the green space beside it. Top Lock is behind the camera and the first of the descending restored locks is central in this view. On the right is a projecting hanging sign advertising the "Canal Barter Shop" and a pedestrian couple walk towards the next lock downstream. The houses in the midground are the north end of Horseshoe Walk and the grand house with the turret seen in the distance is No 1 The Tyning. B&W
