Description
A photograph of the north-south section of Cheltenham Street known at some times as Westmoreland Place East. On the left is a two-storey Victorian terrace, nos. 1-7, now demolished. On the right is the two-storey premises of C H Beazer (Holdings) Ltd. In the distance and on the north side of Lower Bristol Road is Hill Leigh & Co. Ltd., timber importers. A number of cars are parked on the broad paved area on the right including an Audi, Triumph and Rover. On the bottom of the photo is an attached strip with a typed note: WESTMORELAND PLACE EAST- AN AREA OF HOUSING ALLOCATED FOR INDUSTRIAL PURPOSES TO BE ACQUIRED FOR THAT PURPOSE. On the reverse: a pencil note-'8' in a circle. B&W
