Description: A view looking south down High Street, a terrace of 6 houses on its west side (since demolished and replaced with part of the Ballance Street development). The houses are generally two storeys with dormers in the mansard, although two houses, mid-terrace, have been extended upwards to make a third storey. Each house has distinctive projecting stone borders to its ground and first floor windows. The doorways have bracketed , flat stone canopies. The view is capped at the end of the street by the back of No 10 Portland Place. On the reverse a note in pencil: "18". B&W
