Description
Photograph of the façade of the Corridor building 1825 by Henry Edmund Goodridge still blackened by pollution. The entrance is a glazed canopy which is much later (1927). The central part of the façade is recessed between pavilions at either end.The central of the three windows at first floor level has a pediment supported on consoles. Above the entablature, the attic storey has 3 lunette windows and a central decoration of a wreath. The adjacent shop at No 19 is the premises of A Lewis & Co (Westminster) Ltd, tobacconists. A lorry loaded with sacks of potatoes passes by. On the reverse a note in pencil: "21". B&W
