Description
A view of the train shed structure lloking west (designed by J. S. Crossley, Chief Engineer of the Midland Railway) of cast and wrought iron arches carrying a glazed roof. The arch spandrel, also glazed, is carried on a wrought iron lattice beam spanning between the springing point of the arch. The completed Sainsbury's store is seen beyond the train shed on the left and the main space (track bed)between the former platforms is now a car park. B&W
