Description: View looking north from the former Somerset and Dorset railway embankment with the upper floor of the presbytery (completed in 1958) of the Church of Our Lady and St Alphege (designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott 1927-29) visible in the foreground. The bulk of the church roof is visible on the left. In the centre of the view are the Victorian terraced houses of Second Avenue. Over their roofs can be seen the spire of the Locksbrook Cemetery chapel in Lower Weston. On the right are the upper works of the gas holders on Windsor Bridge. B&W
