Description: View from the end of Chaucer Road, looking north, over the top of the topograph plinth along the path at the south edge of Beechen Cliff leading down from Alexandra Park. The view beyond shows the town centre and the hills beyond. In the foreground is the Lower Bristol Road and its industrial buildings, including Newark Works, the Bayer factory and various maltings. Avon Street runs northwards with the new blocks of Bath Technical College to the right. Left of centre are the Kingsmead flats off Green Park Road. The large block in the centre is the Telephone Exchange building off Charles Street. B&W
