Description: A view looking south along Dorset Street to its junction with Caledonian Road. On the left is a vacant site with a chestnut paling fence and the 2 storey houses beyond are to be demolished. On Caledonian Road, a sign indicates that Walters Engineering Works are to be found at first left (Stuart Place). A van belonging to Bath Parcel Service rounds the tight corner to Dorset Street. Along the bottom front edge a stencilled note "CALEDONIAN ROAD". On the reverse a stamp: "H. E. STUCHBURY, City Architect and Planning Officer, 7 North Parade Buildings Bath", a note in pencil: MJ/Block #100, Bath 1 (in a circle), 3¼" deep x 2½" wide, a note in black pen: "Caledonian Road, looking south. The narrow road will be closed to traffic and made in foot-path. Buildings on left cleared which with waste land will provide open space in Improvement 2", a note in red crayon 5354/6 and cropping scribbles in pencil. B&W
