Description
A cutting from "Then and Now" series of articles, this one entitled "Traffic tangle of the Thirties", featuring Cheap Street. 2 photographs, one from the thirties, looking east towards the Guildhall includes a tram travelling East, a car parked on the left and a car following the tram. The single premises identified in the view belong to Titley Son & Price. The lower photograph is contemporary but the street is actually one way going westwards. An article on the left describes in some detail the traffic of the 1930s and the personalities involved. 1 item
