Description
A view of the construction of the new Telephone Exchange building on the east side of Charles Street near to its junction with Monmouth Street. The site hoarding carries the name of the main contractor 'Kyle Stewart'. The central tower crane lifts a concrete hopper to nearby shuttered columns. The Rosewell Court flats are seen on the right. A variety of cars including a VW Beetle, Austin Mini estate, a Dormobile camper van and a Rover 350 are parked alongside the site.
