Description: A view of Chapel Court from the west side of Westgate Buildings with the gable of Chandos House (1729-30) on the left. On the right is a view down Hetling Court terminated by nos. 5-7 Bath Street. At the end of Hetling Court stands the Chapel of St. Michael Within. A massive lift-shaft has been added to John Wood House in the centre of the photograph- it is of coursed rubble stone with dressed quoins and a big Doric entablature. Many of the buildings in this view were modified extensively in 1965-69 (Alan Crozier-Cole). B&W
