Description
A photograph of the frontage of 1 Upper Camden Place on the north-west side of Camden Road. Built in the late C19 but not completed until 1815 and probably designed by John Eveleigh. It has a rusticated base and segmental bay (characteristics of the long terrace). No. 1 is paired with no.2 and the doors share an arch. On the reverse: notes in red biro- '1 Upper Camden Place after restoration with grant of £133 and Carpenter £67 towards the cost of £400. Wotk consisted of demolition of parapet and upper bay window (left side in photograph) down to cill and rebuilding, making good flashings and bay roof' and a note in pencil- 'upgraded to II* March 1971.
