Description
A view of the shops on the south-east side of Camden road, known as Claremont Terrace. Reading from right to left are the premises of W. E. Oram, confectioners, the stallrisers advertise St. Bruno tobacco, G. H. Watts & Son, newsagents and Claremont Post Office, advetising 'Coach tours' on one stallriser, the darkly-painted shopfront next belongs to Buck & Evans, chemists, with Connett the butcher next door. Many projecting advertising signs adorn the upper parts of the shopfronts. A placard advertisement for a cinema showing is attached to the railings on the right. At the top of the photograph is a note in black ink: 'Camden House, Camden Road'. On the reverse: notes in black ink- '15/23' and '1965', also a pencil note- '23'. B&W
