Description
A sweeping view of nos. 1-13 Camden Crescent from the east end. (The Crescent itself is nos. 6-21). A raised pavement starts at no.6 and a bicycle is parked near no. 13. A park bench, empty, commands the view over Bath and a singular car is parked opposite no.6. The centre (out of view) and no. 6 have rusticated bases and giant three-quarter Corinthian columns. The intervening houses have matching Corinthian pilasters. The ground rises towards the centre and the windows step up in groups of three, while the plat band and entablature tilt parallel to the slope. Nos. 7, 10, 13, and 14 have Edwardian blind boxes at the first floor windows, whilst nos. 7 and 10 have similar blind boxes at second floor level. On the reverse: photographers stamps in faded mauve- 'Photograph by George Konig A.R.P.S.' and 'Copyright Keystone Press Agency Ltd. Phone Central 9634-5-6-7-8, 4/7 Red Lion Court, Fleet St., London'. A further stamped number: '5487-11', in pencil. B&W
