Description
A photograph of the full height facades of Nos. 22 and 23 Circus with blackened stonework obviously needing repair due to erosion and effects of pollution. Many windows sport Edwardian-style external shutter boxes- No. 22 has decorative piercings. The door to No. 23 has a rolled, striped sun-cover. The parapet is open with carved balusters supporting a stone coping (later made solid with oval piercings). On the reverse: a note in blue biro- '22-23 Circus prior to restoration -1955'. B&W
