Description
Photograph of No 14 The Circus. This photograph illustrates the architectural motif of the Circus, coupled columns in three orders: Doric, Ionic and Corinthian, simple undecorated window openings, a garlanded upper frieze, and a parapet with oval piercings (later than originally built) and giant acorn finials. The entrance is celebrated with an overthrow. There is a plaque to Lord Clive over the ground floor window. B&W
