Description
A close-up view of the Doric frieze at No. 9. While the frieze itself is in reasonable condition the modillions supporting the cornice above have nearly all eroded. In this acute angle view the guttae under the triglyphs show their function in shedding water. On the reverse: a note in blue felt tip-'The Circus, Bath' and a faded stamp of the office of 'H E Stutchbury, City Architect and Planning Officer, Abbey Chambers, Bath'. A residue of tape is on the left hand edge. B&W
