Description
A view of the main front of Widcombe Manor: 7 bays and 2 storeys. There are giant fluted Ionic pilasters coupled at the corners and frame a pedimented 3 bay centre. A Doric doorcase is flanked by arch headed windows with a Venetian window arrangement at first floor level. The pediment has an oval window with garlands on the inside. Small dormer windows sit behind above a balustraded parapet. In the foreground is the two-stage bronze fountain. The lower bowl has satyrs surrounding it and above a cherub rides a seahorse. There is a small white sticker with "7" in black ink on the top right hand corner. On the reverse notes in blue ink: "Widcombe Manor Church St" and in pencil: "14". B&W
