Description: A view of the upper floors, mansard attic and chimney stacks of Nos 1-5 Edgar Buildings on George Street. There are 5 stacks in view, each with 6 pots of varying design. Typically the lower part of the stack through the attic level is of rubble stone, capped with a weathering string course and terminated with 2 courses of dressed stone and a moulding at the top. One particular stack, that of No 5 has been rebuilt, all in dressed stone. In the foreground is the decorative cast iron head of a lamppost, sited on the broad pavement of Edgar Buildings opposite the top of Milsom Street. B&W
