Description
A view of the upper floors, mansard attic and chimney stacks of Nos 3-6 Edgar Buildings on George Street. There are 4 stacks in view, each with 6 pots of varying design. The lower part of the 2 stacks (Nos 3 and 4) through the attic level is of rubble stone, capped with a weathering string course and terminated with 2 courses of dressed stone and a moulding at the top. Nos 5 and 6 have been rebuilt, all in dressed stone. In the foreground is the decorative cast iron head of a lamppost, carrying a road traffic sign seen from the back, sited on the broad pavement of Edgar Buildings opposite the top of Milsom Street.
