A view looking north from one of the stepped walkways through the Calton Gardens development- this from between 11 and 12 Calton Walk with the newly-constructed no. 6 Alton Place on the right. The view over the city looks directly up Southgate Street and, at its south end Carpenter House is under construction on Broad Quay. On the reverse: notes in pencil: 'Calton Gardens re-development' and '35b'. B&W
