Description
Photograph of Nos. 27-34 on the south side of Bathwick Street with No 27 - Hardings the Grocer on the left, The Barley Mow Public House and the Bathwick Spar Stores Grocers, both listed at No. 33. No 34 is the chemist "Donald Tuddenham" and on the right is the shop of S E Sanders. A telephone box is outside this shop. To the left of the Barley Mow is the archway to Daniel Mews. The pub carries a very large advertisement for Fussells Ales above the first floor windows in addition to a bracketed hanging sign. A very large banner type hanging sign projects from the first and second floor levels of the Spar store. There are a few parked cars on the side of the street. On the reverse is a note 'May 1964' and a note in blue biro '191/4'. B&W
