Description: Photograph of two premises on the south side of Bathwick Street: The Barley Mow Public House and the Bathwick Spar Stores Grocers, both listed at No. 33. On the left is the archway to Daniel Mews. The pub carries a very large advertisement for Fussells Ales above the first floor windows in addition to a bracketed hanging sign. A very large banner type hanging sign projects from the first and second floor levels of the Spar store. A pram is left outside the Spar shop. On the reverse is a note in pencil: 'Spar - no 33 "The Barley Mow" May 1964 and a note in blue biro '191/5'. B&W
