Description
Photograph of the terrace of 4 houses known as Rochfort Place designed by Pinch in 1827. They are four storeys high with a rusticated stone ground floor, a broad string band and very tall first floor windows. Both first and second floor windows have stone architraves. The plain attic windows at 3rd floor level are separated from the main façade by a very strongly modelled string course. On the photograph, measurements are written in black ink in a dotted line representing ground floor level with the heights at every 10 feet marked on the corner of the end house up to the parapet at 44 feet and the parapet junction with the chimney stack at 48 feet. On the reverse is a note in blue biro '35'. B&W
