Description: Photograph of the west side of Barton Street from the corner of the Francis Hotel down towards the turning to Beauford Square on the right. A glass roofed single storey building with large glazed shop fronts is on the right between the Francis Hotel and Whitings. Premises of Whitings Motorworks with road access to the land beyond as seen on the left of the photograph and a new block between Beauford Square and the Theatre Royal is under construction and still scaffolded.
