Description
A view of the lower end of Broad Street from the corner of Green Street with, at no. 42 the Saracen's Head (c. 1700 but dated 1713) has two storey with quoins and a doubled-gabled attic. Railings to the road indicate a lower level pavement. The pub abuts St. Michael's Church on the right. No.41 (c.1720) has an asymmetrical four-bay first floor with quoins and stone architraves and a pediment over the original ground floor entrance. The shopfront is Victorian with an arcaded window head and fanlight. B&W
