Description
Photograph of the newsagents shop on the corner site of Balustrade at the junction of London Road with St. Saviour's Road. The shop has deployed its awnings and advertisements for all the daily newspapers are attached to the wall beneath the windows. The end of the shop facing down London Road carries advertisements for cigarettes and the News of the World. The Beaufort stores, a Spar shop, is seen on the right. On the reverse are notes: in blue ink "Balustrade" [sic] and in black ink "Nov 64" and 34/9 underlined. B&W
