Description: Aerial photograph looking due south from the foreground of Bath Abbey, Orange Grove and South Parade and the area bounded by the GWR line London - Bristol. The lower slopes of Beechen Cliff are in the process of redevelopment and the realigned Claverton Street has been completed. The terraces of Poets Corner, an area of dense Victorian development off the Wells Road is prominent at the top of the view, adjacent to Alexandra Park at the top of Beechen Cliff. At the bottom left, on the opposite side of the river to St John's RC Church, is Bath Cricket Ground. B&W
