Description: This sub-fonds includes a range of material created by various officers and departments of the Council from the early nineteenth to the late twentieth centuries, reflecting the Councils' need to communicate with its residents. While the means by which it has done this has varied over time, from posters and notices displayed in public places to full-colour magazines delivered to residents, all serve the purpose of conveying information in an appropriate medium.

The records include annual reports on the work of the Council, guides to facilities and services, posters, and volumes of press cuttings and advertisements placed in newspapers.
