Description
Bath Education Authority set up a School Medical Service in 1908, under the Education (Administrative Provisions) Act of 1907 which permitted Local Education Authorities to make arrangements for medical inspections of children. The Service grew slowly until the late 1940s, when it expanded more rapidly.

During the period 1914-1918 and from 1955, this sub-committee also dealt with school meals.

Some of the volumes include sensitive personal information on named individuals; access to these volumes is therefore restricted, in accordance with UK Data Protection Law
