Relates to a draft contract which the Sub-Committee wants the Surveying Committee to review, particularly the issues with the Bath Gas Light and Coke Company over its request that they should not be required to supply gas more than 50 yards from any main that may be laid down. The Sub-Committee argues that they are bound under the existing contract to supply gas at any place within the District that the authority may require, provided that they shall not be bound to spend more than £300 in any year laying new mains.
A compromise was met and the draft contract was approved by both the Solicitor of the Company and the Committee on the 21 March 1890.

Includes extracts from the minutes of the Surveying Committee (24 February 1890) and a further report of the Sub-Committee to the Surveying Committee which was adopted on the 24 March 1890.
