Contract was made with Mr J. T. Welch for 18 months to supply the horses, harness, and drivers to be used in scavenging and cleansing, with Mr Hy. Tiley accepted for the supply of ladders, Mr Wm. Tremlin for baskets and Mr C. P. Hazeldine for wheelwright's work. It was noted that there was such a discrepancy between the prices given by two tenders for brushes that the committee could make no recomendation until the Surveyor made further enquiries.
