The recording is 00:01:07 long with the interviewer's voice breaking in at 00:00:03. Below is a transcript of the interview:
[Giles White] 'Okay, so this is Mrs. Christine Irvine. So, in the early 60s and 70s, the Hot Bath was used for treatments under the NHS and local resident Mrs. Christine Irvine well remembers her treatment there'.
[Christine Irvine] 'In the early 60s, I had several treatments in the Hot Bath Treatment Centre, referred by my own doctor. I had a lot of muscle pain in the top half of my body. I can well remember being lowered into the hot spring water in a chair-like hoist, doing exercise with an instructor in the warm water, then being hoisted up again and taken to a room and lying on a bed and being packed with lovely hot towels to dry. It was a very relaxing experience. My muscle problem did eventually get better'.
