The initial ‘E’ in ‘Edwardus’ at the start of the text is embellished in pen and ink and certain ascenders and initial letters in the top line are elongated and looped with bold pen strokes.

Seal:

The Great Seal is pendent by cords. There is a good impression, with the legend visible despite damage around the edge. This is the second seal of Edward III.
