Description
Grant to the citizens of Bath and their heirs that neither they nor their goods are to be arrested for debts in which they are not principal debtors or sureties. Exception is made only where it can be proved that the debtors are members of the community and have the means to pay all or part of the debt and have failed to do so. There is a penalty of £20 for anyone who interferes with this liberty.

Seal:
A fragment of the lower section of the Great Seal remains pendent by cords. This is the first seal of Henry III.
