Rainey will sell by auction, at their sale rooms, Southgate Street, Bath, on Monday, February 27, 1854, and following day, commencing at twelve o'clock. The valuable paintings and sketches in oil, the greater part of which were the genuine property of Benjamin Barker Esq., consist of many specimens by that esteemed artist, in almost every variety of style by which he obtained the highest celebrity; also, fine productions by Backhuysen, Paul Veronese, Zuccarelli, Lely, Wilson, Nasmyth, Muller, Calvert, Luny, Lawrence, Herring, &c, The etchings (the property of a well-known collector), are of a most valuable description, by Rembrandt, Waterloo, Berghem, Both, and various other masters.
