English & Son, bankrupts, comprising, in the unmanufactured materials, a large assortment of brass and iron work, applicable to the trade, Morocco and roan leathers, horsehair, wool, spring wires, ladders, steps, and a great variety of silk gymps, cords, tassels, fringes etc. Also included in the stock, about 3000 yards of best Brussels tapestry; Kidderminster carpets, hearthrugs, an Exminster carpet; fine German tapestry works, for screens, etc. ; 4000 pieces of well-selected French, German, & English paperhangings ; 200 pieces of rich French & English silk & worsted damasks ; large and costly console table with marble top and place glass back ; a pair of beautifully-carved ebony altar stands, and several elegant oak cabinets of superior design and workmanship, which were made for the exhibition ; very handsome 24-light central chandelier, and several smaller ones ; walnut and composition pier and console tables ; 20 lounging chairs, sets of carved rosewood, walnut, and other chairs ; Spanish mahogany pedestal sideboard ; busts ; a collection of original drawings and designs for furniture ; a few oil paintings ; about 25 dozen of superior sherry and East Indian Madeira ; and a variety of miscellaneous effects: to be sold by auction, by Mr. Frederick Morris...
