Custodial history: Ms inscription on front flyleaf: 'A very fine copy, although it has suffered, as all have, at the hands of the barbarous bookbinder...' Presumably the hand of R.E.M. Peach, for whom this binding was made. REMP bookplate on rear pastedown.
Binding note: Half goat, marbled boards, raised bands, additional blank pages pasted with copies of woodcuts from Gilmore's map of Bath inserted between front flyleaf and tp of first item; additional blank pages inserted after second title to bulk our binding. Binding 19th century.
